Built in 1886, the lighthouse rises\u00a0112 metres above sea level.<\/p>\n<p>Its rotating beam of\u00a0white light has a range of 24 nautical miles and a mainly southerly sweep through 225 degrees.<\/p>\n<p>The deepest part of the Tyrrhenian Sea, the trench known as \u2018La Fossa del Tirreno\u2019, lies some eleven miles to the southwest of the lighthouse rock.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-separator\" style=\"align-self: center;margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;margin-top:1%;margin-bottom:3%;width:100%;max-width:35%;\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-5\"><h3 class=\"fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" data-fontsize=\"23\" data-lineheight=\"32.2px\">GRAPE VARIETIES AND VINIFICATION TECHNIQUE<\/h3>\n<p>This white wine is produced exclusively from Biancolella grapes, a typical variety from central Italy and the islands.<\/p>\n<p>The grapes undergo a \u2018traditional\u2019 white wine vinification process starting with a soft pressing of the whole grapes and a subsequent spontaneous fermentation at 20\u00b0C on indigenous yeasts.<\/p>\n<p>It is then aged on the lees for about 7-8 months before bottling.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-separator\" style=\"align-self: center;margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;margin-top:1%;margin-bottom:3%;width:100%;max-width:35%;\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-6\"><h3 class=\"fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" data-fontsize=\"23\" data-lineheight=\"32.2px\">TASTING NOTE<\/h3>\n<p>Pale yellow with a greenish hue. An intense\u00a0perfume of hawthorn blossom, ripe golden peach\u00a0and fresh apricot.<\/p>\n<p>The palate is flinty and fresh, reminiscent of the \u2018volcanic \u2013 calcareous\u2019\u00a0vineyard soils and sea breezes that sustain the\u00a0vine. A lingering fruitiness on the finish and a hint\u00a0of citrus.<\/p>\n<p>Serve chilled at 12\u00b0C. Bring to the boil and cook for 20 minutes.<br \/>\nRemove, allow to cool, then crack the shell and claws.<br \/>\nBrown lots of garlic and red hot chili peppers in plenty of olive oil in a large frying pan.<br \/>\nWhen the garlic is golden, add the Granseola and cook gently for about 5 minutes.<br \/>\nPlace 500 gms of \u2018linguine\u2019 (flat ribbon pasta) in abundant boiling, salted
